Melissa worked as a Legal Assistant and Paralegal at a Specialist Family Law firm in Bradford for three years before qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in June 2021. Melissa joined JWP in 2022 with a wealth of experience in relation to Legal Aid, Injunctions and Private Law cases. Melissa has represented both Applicants and Respondents throughout their cases and takes pride in ensuring her clients are kept up to date with their case throughout. She obtained her Resolution Accreditation in relation to Children and Domestic Abuse matters in September 2025 and sits on the North, East and West Yorkshire Resolution Committee. In July 2026, Melissa was appointed Head of the Family Department.
