And the JWP Bake Off winner is - Macmillan Cancer Support
A big thank you to everyone who attended our Macmillan coffee mornings at our Pontefract and Wakefield Office.
The Pontefract office kicked things off on Thursday 24th September, lots of cakes were baked, tasted and bought. The business card raffle was a great success and lots of money was raised for Macmillan cancer support. The winner of the “Bake Off” was a classic Carrot Cake which was a huge hit with everyone. The Pontefract Office gave Wakefield a lot to live up to!
The Wakefield office did not disappoint! Show stoppers were baked and fresh coffee was flowing. Lots of guests attended and supported the coffee morning. Guests included, Wakefield Labour MP Mary Creagh, local solicitors, Wakefield County Court Staff, family and friends. The winner of the Wakefield “Bake Off” was our very own Wendy Campbell with a gluten free chocolate roulade.
Together the Coffee Mornings raised £949 for Macmillan cancer support. This money will go towards the excellent work Macmillan do day in and day out. Macmillian cancer support aims to improve the lives of people living with cancer, as well as helping with the medical needs of people affected by cancer. JWP were proud to contribute something towards such a wonderful cause and look forward to making the event Bigger and Better next year.
