17 December 2015
JWP Solicitors are holding their first Christmas Carol’s on Friday 18th December 2015 ( tomorrow).
We are delighted to announce that the Salvation Army will be attending, bringing with them amazing instruments and fabulous singing voices. The Christmas Carols will commence at 2pm.
I am sure most of you have heard of the Salvation Army, we are hoping to raise some money, provide gift hampers and awareness for the work they do.
For many people there will be no joy, no presents and no laughter at Christmas. It will be a bleak and miserable time for people who are housebound and lonely with no one to care for them. It will be a struggle for families who can hardly find money to feed and clothe their children, let alone buy presents and treats. And there will be many people who won’t even have a roof over their heads, but will be struggling to survive on the cold and dangerous street.
Many of them will turn to the Salvation Army for help because they have nowhere else and no-one to turn to. The Salvation Army do all they can to help them because, for them, it would be the worst thing in the world to turn their back on the people who are suffering. But the Salvation Army can not do it on their own, they rely on the generosity and kindness of people like you at Christmas more then any other time.
Our Christmas Carols will begin at 2pm at our Wakefield Office, we will be serving mulled wine and mince pies.
There shall be a table set up in our reception with hamper boxes, any donations will be greatly appreciated, anything from food, toiletries and warm clothes (no alcohol). These will be handed to the salvation army following the carol singing.
You don’t have to sing!
We look forward to seeing you there!
Merry Christmas and all the Very Best for 2016, from everyone at JWP Solicitors.
