The firm has entered a team to take part in a charity run on Saturday 14th May 2016 at Temple Newsam, Leeds. I, John Wood, upon agreeing to take part quickly realised that some training would be required. It would not be easy to relive the faded glory of being a cross country schools champion 40 years ago.
A swift search on google provided the answer – the ideal training regime – couch potato to 5K in 9 weeks – perfect!
The first intrepid run took place the day last Wednesday at 6.30am with miniature Schnauzer Lottie in tow. The dog was quite confused as to why her owner was now running about wildly but soon picked up the theme.
Friday morning was the second run early doors and this time it was thick of snow. Surely the weather must get better. I will keep you posted as to my progress or otherwise.
